Cover Letter Paper #1

Within this paper I am trying to defend my point of view about error. Most people believe that error is just the standard spelling, punctuation, and grammar but that is not true anything can create error within your paper. The evidence to back my claim about error is that the people who over time compiled the rules for error have woven together many different ideas about error, but they need to be updated as time goes on to keep up with the different generations who adapt the rules of error among writing. Some people believe that the rules of error once they are established that they should stay like that forever. The parts of my paper I think work really well is my conversation about how facebook, twitter, and texting and the affects it has on our writing. The parts that I feel didn’t work as well as I planned is the part about mistakes that occur due to poor usage. I would like readers to talk about there thoughts on error and if they see any of the statements I stated differently because we are all apart of the same generation to see the different ideas of my peers about my topic. If we had more time I think it would have been helpful to be able to take on two topics that compliment each other to make your writing easier so you could relate the two together.

  4. Tracy Kecks Review:

Summary: In her paper the main point was that error plays an important part in writing papers and with grammar, but that the rules that were made up for error were from long ago and that they need to be updated.

Suggestions: Looking through the paper I noticed just little grammatical errors, such as when you have its it needs to be it’s. Some of the sentences are run ons.

Response: I really liked in your paper how you wrote about error in the sense that it is common, but in today’s age it needs to be revised. With the comments about Facebook, Twitter, etc. I really believe it is true how people are more inclined to make those grammatical mistakes because our era is becoming technology based. I felt that you addressed everything at hand and did a good job with adding in arguments and giving your point to why you feel the way you do about the problem.
