With this paper I was trying to convince the readers that some things that are considered plagiarism should not be and that the punishment given for these things are too harsh. I was also trying to say that when students take pieces of other peoples work it is a compliment in a way as long as they aren't say them word for word. I tried to support my claims with quotes and idea about them from other writers and also telling my own stories about experiences. I thought that using these things would be persuasive because I had idea from real writers which are convincing and using my story they could understand. The counter-arguments that I tried to address were that people don't agree with not getting credit for their work and want credit no matter how much of the source you use. I think that I have many good points in my paper that are saying what I am trying to say, but I had trouble making the paper flow and getting many sources. In the response I want any advice on how I could make my paper flow better or things you think I should add. If I had more time for this paper I would probably do some more research and read more articles about plagiarism.

ReplyDeleteI like the way your paper has an interesting introduction to set the mood for the rest of it. There were a few grammatical corrections I edited for you, but for the most part I think your paper successfully met the criteria for this assignment. The counter-arguments added a nice element to your paper also. My paper did not have many of my experiences in it either, but by adding a few more of your own your paper will have a more personal twist to it. Overall I think you paper is well-written and I like how you used your friend's experience of getting in trouble for plagiarizing. Good job!
