Lamott:
In her article "Shitty First Drafts", Lamott describes how pretty much everyone even professional writers don't just sit down and write really well. She says that there is first a "childs draft" where you just write and get everything out then in your second draft you fix it up then the third draft which she calls the "denial draft" is where you check every part of your paper making sure there is nothing wrong.
King:
In his article "What Writing Is", Stephen King describes telepathy and tells a story about a rabbit and points out how different people could have pictured different details of the story in different ways but "having a meeting of the minds"(pg.307). He says that " you must not come lightly to the blank page"(pg.307) and you need to approach writing seriously.
Goodman:
In her article "Calming the Inner Critic and Getting to Work", Allergra Goodman describes how when you are writing you need to ignore your inner critic and concentrate on just your writing. She talks about how being confident in your writing and ignoring negative thoughts will help you in your writing.
Haruf:
In his article "To See Your Story Clearly, Start By Pulling the Wool over Your Own Eyes", Kent Haruf talks about how writers have weird things that they do when they write to help them write better. He describes the space he writes him and the things that he has around him that remind him of his past and emotional memories. He describes how he will "write blind" so he can just concentrate on the writing and no worry about errors, then after the first draft he will rework it.
Sontag:

Diaz:
In his article "Becoming a Writer", Junot Diaz tells the story of how of his difficult time becoming a writer and how he did not become a writer the first time he tried. He says that a true writer will write when there is no hope and keep trying.
Using These Essay:
I feel like each of these authors kind of has their own metaphor for writing. They don't follow rules they really just do what works best for them to write well. Junot struggled a with writer block similar with how Tony did. I think if Tony heard these stories they definitely could have helped him.
Meta Moments:
From reading research about writing and writers' reflections on their own processes I can different views of way you can write and different things that can help you when you are struggling to write. I learned that you don't need to worry about your first draft being perfect and that its only going to help to with getting to a good draft, not to worry about errors while I'm writing and to just write and worry about those later, also I learned that its ok if writing doesn't come super easily to me I just need to keep trying.
Reflection:
I thought these article were interesting because we got to see all the different views of different writers and the ways that they write. I think this could be helpful to me when I am struggling to write something. I cant really relate to any of there stories but I agree that they are good ways to write because they obviously helped all of these writers.

I agree with what you said in your reflection. I think that with all the different problems (and solutions to those problems for writing.) presented I can make use of the lessons of more experienced writers to improve my own writing.
