January 23rd Reading Response

Kleine Summary
In his article, "What Is It We Do When We Write Articles Like This One.." Kleine attempts to show teachers and students how to properly write research papers. He writes about being, either the hunter or gatherer when it comes to picking apart texts in a way that will improve a research paper. He also explains what to do with the information once we find it.

1. His text slightly describes the way I write research papers. I have never thought of writing papers as a heuristic in the past, but I do agree with him that we should approach a research paper as a problem that needs solved.
3. Sources play a big role in the research of professionals that Kleine interviews because he admits that even his own work is influenced by what he heard from others. Sources have also played a big role in my research, but I don't think I use as many sources as Kleine persuades us to do in this article.
4. I would take the hunter perspective that he describes because I think it is easier to find something if you are actually looking hard for it, rather than just stumbling upon it.

I think the beginning of this article was very true when Kleine explained how most people go about writing research papers. I think this article will help me somewhat when I write my next research paper because it provides tips. I agree with him completely in this matter.
