In the article, Composing Behaviors of One- and Multi-Draft Writers, Harris discusses the importance in multiple draft writings, opposed to those with no revisions. Throughout this paper, he shows both sides and how there is not one right way to write, but he believes that better papers come from those who write multiple drafts.
I am not a multi-draft writer because the only time my paper changes format is when I add more to my original thoughts or I edit mistakes. A disadvantage of being a one-draft writer is that your paper won't have as much detail or thought in it.
Harris Response
I thought this article was pretty boring and I caught myself being uninterested throughout most of it. He provided important information, but I feel like he wrote too much regarding this simple topic.

Questions to Consider
- Amount of time taken up by writing, distractions, and the think aloud protocol most interested me because I feel like distractions are a big part of writing effectively and the think aloud protocol might work since it allows you to express all your thoughts by saying them before writing them. If I did study on the way we write, I could learn what environments or surroundings cause certain types of writing. I feel like what is around you will affect how you write.
- I think taking notes ultimately leads to writing and this happens to me, because when I write something down I actually get interested as opposed to just sitting in class. I have not tried to write for exploration.
I think this article was interested and short and to the point. I thought it was a beneficial reading that will help me with my paper for this week.
I would agree with you that distractions are a big part of writing when it comes down to staying focused on it. Most people get distracted easily because they aren't interested into writing.
